Senior Backend Engineer (GO) (m/f/d)

For our office in Hamburg we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) with Go as their main language.

CONTENT FLEET is a digital content marketing agency based in Hamburg and Cologne. We have more than 200 fleet members and all of them are individual, creative people. With a heart, mind and soft spot for everything digital, we create inspiring content for our users and thus achieve maximum added value for our customers.

It is important to us that you complement our team with your personality and your ideas. All content is unique. So are you.

Become a part of our fleet and revolutionize content performance marketing with us!

YOUR ROLE

• Design, build and run backend services in Go, from concept through to production and beyond
• Shape the architecture of our content platforms and our ad tech stack, with a focus on performance, reliability, security and simplicity
• Work on high-traffic systems and large data volumes, from real-time event streams to analytical reporting over billions of records
• Build services that are secure by default: authentication, access control, user data protection and compliance with privacy requirements
• Move remaining legacy services to Go and help keep our codebase lean
• Take ownership of key technical topics and drive decisions together with the team
• Review code, mentor other engineers and help set technical standards

YOUR SKILLS

• Several years of professional backend development, with Go as your main language
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (we mainly use MySQL), including query optimization
• Hands-on experience with several parts of our data stack: MongoDB, ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and deployments
• Experience with Linux and running services in production: monitoring, debugging, performance tuning
• A strong grasp of concurrency, distributed systems and designing for scale
• Solid understanding of application security: common vulnerabilities, authentication and authorization, secure handling of secrets and personal data
• A preference for simple, explicit code over heavy frameworks and deep abstractions
• Experience with Rust is a plus
• Good knowledge of English and/or German

• Contributions towards the Deutschlandticket and company pension scheme
• Various employee discounts and attractive offers (JobRad, etc.)
• A ping-pong table and a billiard table
