Enabler for smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips
Working for tomorrow today.
Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.
Within the Machine Excellence area, we work as an interdisciplinary team with a high degree of creative freedom to develop forward-looking solutions for our special-purpose machinery. In close collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and other functions, we develop cleanliness and sustaining concepts for production equipment that are technologically leading, future-proof, and cost-efficient.
If you enjoy analyzing complex challenges, helping to set new standards, and shaping the next generation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, you will feel right at home with us.

- Document and report project status, prepare decision papers for management and coordinate escalations in case of resource conflicts
- Organize risk management at module level and define measures to identify and mitigate risks at an early stage
- University degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Several years of experience managing development and/or redesign projects in an industrial environment, e.g. in special-purpose machinery, tooling development or component development
- Proven track record in leading interdisciplinary project teams without formal line authority and genuine interest in coordinating people from different professional backgrounds
- Familiar with project management methods and planning tools; ideally certified according to IPMA (or comparable). Experience with SAP is an advantage
- Clear and respectful communication style, confident in presenting and facilitating meetings, resilient under time pressure and in unexpected situations
