WE ARE IMMEDIATELY SEEKING A
MANAGER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EMEA (M/F/D)
LOCATION: POTSDAM
Hygiena is currently based in Potsdam and Großbeeren but is scheduled to relocate to Ludwigsfelde in 2027.
The role will lead the EMEA Information Technology (IT) organization in driving regional IT strategy, digital transformation, and building out a reliable and robust IT infrastructure. It will be responsible for all areas of the IT organization including IT service desk, service delivery management, service operations, network, ERP/CRM, and other critical IT related functions – as well as providing hands-on IT support and engineering. This leadership role will have a strong focus on team management as well as building reliable, scalable, and secure systems to support rapid business growth.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
- Responsible for building out the robust regional IT infrastructure and promoting a high-performing service delivery culture providing excellent IT support and service solutions based on the clear understanding of the company's global IT strategy
- Act as the primary escalation point for IT infrastructure topics and a trusted IT partner to site leadership
- Identify and manage IT risks, escalating issues where necessary
- Implement long-term regional IT management strategy to ensure alignment with the regional IT development and sustainment goals; responsible for day-to-day IT management across system, network, desktop service, ERP/CRM, information security, office construction, etc.
- Ensure compliance with global IT standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements
- Develop scalable roadmaps for the company's major IT projects and lead their execution to provide reliable systems, effective services, and solutions that will meet with the business needs
- Defining a strong technical culture around our IT systems that emphasizes engineering excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences
- Responsible for managing and scaling the EMEA IT team, and continuously promoting excellent teamwork and improving service quality and delivery efficiency
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure the IT team will be able to deliver required support and solutions across the company
- Oversee IT asset management including procuring, provisioning, maintaining, and decommissioning laptops and other IT equipment
- Driving continuous improvement of IT processes and defining and managing appropriate regional IT-related policies
- Negotiate critical agreements/contracts with other functional stakeholders and third parties
- Participating in global IT projects
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field, additional MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in team management and IT infrastructure or IT service-related fields
- Work experience gained in manufacturing and/or biotechnology industry preferred
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience developing and communicating an IT vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the business strategy
- Well-versed in all aspects of system development, deployment and support, and a proven leader managing in a mission-critical systems environment
- Proven track record of collaborating with business leadership and demonstrating the value of technology across a large-scale, global, and highly complex business environment
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with a result-oriented and performance-driven focus
- Outstanding communication skills with all levels of the organization and with external contacts
- Strong analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills, including the ability to explain technologies to business leaders and business concepts to the IT team
- Significant qualifications in driving and managing organizational change and building capabilities that effectively balance operational efficiency with the development of new, innovative technology solutions
- Expertise and experience in budget planning and financial management
- Demonstrated ability to develop people and organizations to meet new business needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels

- IT literate – Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint as well as various ERP/CRM systems
