The Role

As VP Product, you will report directly to the CEO and join InnoNature's management team, owning the company's product vision and roadmap and leading a product organisation built around two teams: Product Management & Development and Quality Management. You're joining right as we complete our rebrand and expand from D2C into a multi-channel business - giving you real ownership over how our product function evolves during the next growth phase, rather than simply maintain what's already in place. This is a hands-on leadership role at a fast-growing, purpose-driven scale-up, with real influence over both the strategy and the culture we build along the way.

What You'll Do

Strategic

• You define and execute InnoNature's product vision and strategy

• You lead, develop, and inspire a team of 7 FTEs across your two teams — Product Management & Development and Quality Management

• You translate strategy into a prioritised, commercially-grounded product roadmap

• You track and synthesise the latest trends in nutrition, health, and functional food — including trade fair scouting, exchanges with your professional network and academic research — and feed insights directly into the roadmap

• You build and champion a customer-centric product development model: structured co-creation, consumer feedback, and closed-loop insight from the target audience

Operational

• You drive the full product launch lifecycle — from initial brief through formulation, supplier selection, and regulatory clearance, You speed up our the development cycle without compromising quality

• You continuously analyse and optimise the existing product portfolio for margin, velocity, and relevance

• You ensure rigorous product quality, testing protocols, and full legal compliance in product and communications

• You partner closely with Marketing on go-to-market planning, positioning, and launch execution — across both D2C and the expanding retail channel

• You work closely with procurement to avoid out-of-stock situations and optimise for margin without compromising quality

• Proven product development and product management experience in consumer health or an adjacent category (functional food, OTC health, cosmeceuticals, or supplements)

• 3+ years of team leadership experience, including managing people managers - e.g. as VP Product, Chief Product Officer, Head of Product, or similar.

• A strong track record of launching consumer products successfully and at speed

• A background in nutrition, health sciences, or a related field

• Strong consumer insight instincts and the ability to translate them into product decisions

• Experience with or a strong affinity for D2C and digital-first go-to-market models

• Commercial acumen (P&L literacy, margin awareness) and a structured, analytical approach to decision-making

• Fluent German (min. B2) and English skills and can confidently use both languages in a professional context

• Nice to have: experience with procurement/supplier management, quality management in a regulated food or supplement environment, familiarity with DACH regulatory requirements (e.g. health claims), or FMCG retail experience

• A high-impact leadership role at a mission-driven scale-up

• Hybrid working model: 2 days on-site in Hamburg-Altona (Tuesday + Wednesday), with flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days
